The album cover of Caviar by the English band Heavy Lungs features a close-up of frontman Danny Nedelko’s slightly open mouth, with caviar spilling out. The imagery reflects the album’s central themes: excess, indulgence, and a subversive punk ethos.
The back cover is bold and striking in its layout, with an empty caviar tin repurposed as an ashtray at its centre.
The inner sleeve surprises with a vivid orange tone and is printed with the lyrics to each track. The LP labels are designed to resemble traditional caviar tins, deliberately playing with their luxurious aesthetic — an impression that’s starkly undercut by the dark, monochrome print.
Overall, the artwork exudes a raw, unpolished energy – unsettling, provocative, and perfectly in tune with the album’s intense, gritty sonic aesthetic..
In addition to the album cover, four single covers, tour posters, and merchandise including T-shirts were also designed.
