LIFE is a post-punk band from Hull, England. The album musically and lyrically explores a sense of belonging and relationship to their hometown. Water proved to be a unifying element for the band members, and we translated this element into our design. The album cover was created in an analog way by cutting letters, rearranging them, distorting them with water, and then photographically capturing the result. Abstracted images of the harbor in Hull are seen on the special edition. The typographic design is printed on top with clear UV-varnish to create the effect of water.
