Roosmarijn is an experimental and melodic pop artist from Arnhem in the Netherlands. Her music crosses genres and combines the soulful intimacy of singer-songwriter traditions with the evocative depth of the viola to create a unique sound experience.
The cover of her debut album Wide Open Space shows the musician looking into the distance, framed by name and title. A diagonal line creates a link to the back cover, which playfully explores the open space — the layout is free and airy. In addition to the song titles and production information, there is a colour gradient that reflects the different colours of the cover photograph, while the inner sleeve also features two monolith-like colour gradients that visually pick up on the overall feeling of the record. The cover is printed inside-out so that the paper surface conveys a rough feeling.
