On the occasion of the exhibition COMEBACK by photographer Tim Bruening at the Horst-Janssen Museum in Oldenburg we created a publication. In his work the photographer explores the theme of cinema; showing images of stars on the red carpet in Cannes and at the Oldenburg Film Festival, accompanied by actual and soon-to-be film sets. As the icing on the cake, photographs of his grandma staged as various popular film characters are included in the exhibition.
The images are translated into the space of the book: Dark pages suggest a sense of a cinema auditorium. The cover letters are reminiscent of old film noir titles and are playfully arranged on the cover.
