Measures for a Funeral brilliantly spotlights a young academic’s run towards one woman — acclaimed early 20th-century Canadian violinist Kathleen Parlow — as she simultaneously flees from another, her failed musician mother.

The title design underscors the musicality and movement of the film. The subtle animation of the main title reinforces this. The end credits are reminiscent of sheet music and in this way also underline the theme of the film.
